ફિલ્મમાં સાસુ તરીકે બાઈજીના પાત્રમાં રત્ના પાઠક શાહ જોવા મળી રહી છે, જ્યારે માનસી પારેખ દ્વારા મોંઘીનું પાત્ર ભજવ્યું છે. ધર્મેન્દ્ર ગોહીલએ તેના પતિનું પાત્ર ભજવ્યું છે. મોંઘી એક ઘરેલુ મહિલા હોય છે. તે એકદમ સુંદર, સુશીલ અને સંસ્કારી હોય છે. દરેક વ્યક્તિ ઇચ્છે છે કે તેની પણ પત્ની તેના જેવી હોય. જોકે આવી પત્નીઓને હંમેશાં ટેકન-ફૉર-ગ્રાન્ટેડ લેવામાં આવે છે. એવું જ તેનો પતિ એટલે કે ધર્મેન્દ્ર ગોહિલ કરે છે. બાઈજી ભલેને ઘરડી હોય, પરંતુ ઘરમાં શું ચાલી રહ્યું છે એના પર તેની હંમેશાં નજર હોય છે. મોંઘીએ તેની આખી જિંદગી અન્યોને ખુશ રાખવામાં કાઢી નાખી હોય છે અને બૉસ, આપણી છોકરીઓને શીખવાડવામાં પણ એવું જ આવે છે, જે ખોટું છે. પરંતુ તેની લાઇફમાં જ્યારે વળાંક આવે છે ત્યારે તે પરિસ્થિતિને તેના હાથમાં લે છે. આ સમયે તેની સાસુ પણ તેને સપોર્ટ કરે છે.
ફિલ્મના સવાંદો અને ડાયલોગ હસવાની સાથે હૈયામાં એક ચોટ પણ પહોચાવે તેવા છે. બાઇજી અને મોંઘીના મોઢે બોલાતા ડાયલોગ ખરેખર લાજવાબ છે. "મળે નહીં તો માંગીને સુખ તો લઇ જ લેવું" "ચપટી મારીને ગાયનું ઘણ હાલતું થાય, ઘણી નહીં !" જેવા ડાયલોગો પર તાળી પાડવાનું મન ચોક્કસ થઇ જાય અને ફિલ્મનો એક મુખ્ય ડાયલગો, "ડુંડી એવા ઘઉં અને સાસુ એવી વહુ" પણ એટલો જ અસરદાર રહ્યો

ફિલ્મનો સ્ક્રીનપ્લે વિરાફ પટેલ, કરણ ભાનુશાલી અને રાહુલ મલિકે લખ્યો છે. ડાયલૉગ રામ મોરી અને ઍડિશનલ ડાયલૉગ કરણ ભાનુશાલીએ લખ્યા છે. ફિલ્મનો સ્ક્રીનપ્લે પણ ખૂબ જ સુંદર રીતે લખવામાં આવ્યો છે. દરેક બાબતનું ધ્યાન રાખવામાં આવ્યું છે. રામ મોરીની આ ત્રીજી ફિલ્મ છે. તેણે ડાયલૉગ ખૂબ જ સારા લખ્યા છે. ઘણી વાર ડાયલૉગને કારણે પણ દૃશ્ય ખૂબ જ અસરકારક બન્યાં છે. સ્ટોરીનો સૌથી મોટો પ્લસ પૉઇન્ટ એ છે કે એને ફક્ત મૉડર્ન દેખાડવા પૂરતી મૉડર્ન બનાવવામાં નથી આવી, એની સ્ટોરીમા પણ એટલો દમ છે. વિરલ શાહનું ડિરેક્શન પણ સારું છે. દરેક દૃશ્યને જે રીતે દેખાડવાં જોઈએ એ જ રીતે દેખાડ્યાં છે. એક ડાયલૉગ છે જેમાં મોંઘી બુલેટ ચલાવવાની વાત કરે છે, પરંતુ તે છેલ્લે જ્યારે બુલેટ ચલાવે છે તો એ તેને અચાનક જ આવડી ગયું હોય એવું નથી. ફિલ્મમાં દેખાડવામાં પણ આવ્યું છે કે એ શીખે છે.
માનસીએ ‘ઉરી : ધ સર્જિકલ સ્ટ્રાઇક’, ‘ગોળ કેરી’ અને ‘ડિયર ફાધર’ જેવા પ્રોજેક્ટમાં કામ કર્યા બાદ ‘કચ્છ એક્સપ્રેસ’માં રત્ના પાઠક શાહ જેવા ધૂંઆધાર ઍક્ટર સામે કામ કર્યું છે. આટલા મોટા ગજાના ઍક્ટર સામે સ્ક્રીન પર દબાઈ જવાનો પણ ડર હોય છે, પરંતુ મોંઘી ખરેખર ‘મોંઘી’ છે. તેણે એક-એક દૃશ્યને તેના પર્ફોર્મન્સથી જીવંત કર્યું છે એવું કહેવું ખોટું નથી. તેમ જ તેની સાથે બાઈજી પણ એટલી જ સારી સ્ક્રીનસ્પેસમાં જોવા મળી છે. બાઈજીને એકદમ કૂલ કહેવી ખોટી નથી. બધી વહુને આવી બાઈજી મળવી જોઈએ. રત્ના પાઠકની બૉડી લૅન્ગ્વેજ પણ એકદમ બાઈજી જેવી છે. અહીં સાસુ-વહુની કેમિસ્ટ્રી જોરદાર છે. જો અન્ય કોઈ ઍક્ટર હોત અને બે ટકા પણ થોડી ઓવર-ઍક્ટિંગ કરી હોત તો આ કેમિસ્ટ્રી જેવી મજા ન આવી હોત. ધર્મેન્દ્ર ગોહિલે તેનું પાત્ર સારી રીતે કર્યું છે. વિરાફ પટેલ અને દર્શિલ સફરી પણ તેમની જગ્યાએ યોગ્ય હતા.
સચિન-જિગર ફરી એક વાર જોરદાર મ્યુઝિક લઈને આવ્યા છે. તેમણે ‘ભેડિયા’ કરતાં આ ફિલ્મનું મ્યુઝિક ખૂબ જ સારી રીતે આપ્યું છે. આ ફિલ્મમાં ત્રણ ગીત છે. ત્રણેય એકબીજાથી એકદમ અલગ છે. ત્રણેયનું મ્યુઝિક જ્યારે સાંભળવામાં આવે છે ત્યારે અલગ વાઇબ્સ આવે છે. ‘મનગમતા દિવસો’ને માનસી પારેખ અને પાર્થિવ ગોહિલે ગાયું છે. ‘ઊડે રે ગુલાલ’ને ભૂમિ ત્રિવેદી અને કીર્તિ સાગઠિયાએ ગાયું છે. ભૂમિનો અવાજ ખરેખર સૉલિડ છે એમાં બેમત નથી, પરંતુ ‘ઊડવું છે આકાશમાં’ એક અલગ જ ગીત છે. આ ગીતનો સ્કોર ક્યારે ઇન્સ્ટાગ્રામના રીલમાં વાઇરલ થાય છે એ જોવું રહ્યું.
